My daughter got several of these pets and the deluxe house for a Christmas present. She had no idea what they even were but as is the way with kids she liked the gift and has played with it somewhat. The house is cheaply made given its price, and takes up a TON of space. It doesn't seem to want to stay put together which is annoying to me. However, that being said, it is nice for the pets to have a "place" to be rather than underfoot. I'm writing this to warn others of the potential for the pets to get stuck in kids' hair. The wheels have excellent traction (read: they are so "sticky" they pull at your hands and fingers if they roll while being held). Noticing this I warned my 4 year old not to get her pony-tails near it. So much for warnings! She came running to me the other day with a pet stuck all the way to her scalp. My biggest concern was getting the batteries out b/c there are 3 buttons which will start it up moving again if touched (one on the back, the nose, and the head)! My husband came running with the screwdriver and I stood there holding the pet like a live hand granade lest one of the buttons get pushed and the wheels start sucking even more hair or worse pulling it all out. Once that was done we sat for 10 mins pulling/untangling all the sucked up hair. She still lost a bit, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She's given these toys a pretty wide berth since "the incident". Hope others can avoid this danger.Get more detail about Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster Pipsqueek - Yellow.
