My 3-1/2 year old, like most kids, HAD to have this. Santa brought her four hampsters and almost all the play house add ons. This one was the second biggest disappointment (next to the car with garage). The hampster will run in the wheel about once every ten times, and even then just does it momentarily before heading back down the tunnel. Before New Year's even hit, my daughter collected up the entire lot and said, "here, mom, send these back. They're too breakable and not fun to play with". Too breakable? Even a three year old recognizes poor quality! This is a kid that plays for hours with cardboard boxes, sticks, wooden spoons, etc. And she wanted to send them back to Santa after only a few days?
